Stage 4 - Geography - Landscapes and Landforms

Overview

Students will investigate, undertake fieldwork and collect data at Cape Solander and Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Kurnell.

They will compare the landscapes and landforms at both sites with a focus on the environmental and human processes that have formed and transformed them.

Outcomes

GE4-1 locates and describes the diverse features and characteristics of a range of places and environments

GE4-2 describes processes and influences that form and transform places and environments

GE4-5 discusses management of places and environments for their sustainability

GE4-7 acquires and processes geographical information by selecting and using geographical tools for inquiry

• create a field sketch
  
• take abiotic measurements
• interprete topographic and aerial maps/complete a cross section
• identify processes
• investigate landscape features and processes
• identify human impacts transforming the landscape
• learn about the value of places, landscapes and landforms
