A four metre bark canoe is located in the museum at Kurnell. When students visit for an excusrion they can view the canoe and find out how it was made.
When James Cook arrived in 1770 there were many bark canoes along the shoreline of Botany Bay.
Tied bark canoe is featured at the National Maritime Museum
